What is Blend to Learn?

If your native language is mainly made up of Consonant-Vowel (CV) or Consonant-Vowel-Consonant (CVC) blends like so:

CV Blending

You learn the 'L' sound by listening and chanting the combinations of the 'L' sound and short vowels.


CVC Blending

You then practise blending the CV sound with an additional consonant sound and voilayou begin to read and spell words by pairing it with different final consonants. 

The CV and CVC blends are already commonplace in the your native language, so sounding the CV and CVC blends should come quite natural to you, making it the best way to learn phonics.
